Yakhuluntu Dubazana is an environmental scientist and researcher specialising in the just energy transition, energy transformation, and impact management. She is an energy transformation expert with the Renewables Academy through the Enertracks online training programme. She has participated in projects with the World Bank, TIPS, and Eskom, focusing on the social dimensions of climate change, inclusive climate-resilient development, and the energy transition’s impact on marginalised communities. She supported the development of social baseline assessments for NDC's energy transition initiatives in Mpumalanga, contributing to understanding the social implications and facilitating a just transition in the region. She holds an MSc in Environmental and Geographical Science, focusing on sediment characteristics in coastal wetlands.
