Jupilog Consulting is a multi-disciplinary economic development consultancy based in Nelson Mandela Bay. The consultancy was established in 2010 and offers services to both the public and private sectors. The core services offered are research and analysis, and policy and strategy development. Odwa Mtati, presenting the paper on behalf of the consultancy, is a specialist associate of Jupilog Consulting. His areas of interest are research, skills development and Economic Development. He has widespread experience in various industries. He previously also followed a career in the non- governmental organisation sector, higher education, government and the private sector. His past experience includes service as Chief Executive Officer of the Port Elizabeth Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry where he worked on establishing the SME desk. He has served on various boards focusing on economic and social development, such as the Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism Board, the Eastern Cape Gambling Board, and the Eastern Cape Socio-Economic Consultative Council. Odwa holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Nelson Mandela University.
