Olwethu Shedi is an economist at CCRED. Her research interests include gender, competition economics, industrial development, poverty, early childhood development, regional integration, and food security. Prior to joining CCRED, Olwethu worked as a junior researcher at the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies. She holds an MCom in economics (with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
