Director: Global Projects | Department of Science and Innovation (DSI)

Toto Matshediso is the Director: Global Projects at the DSI in South Africa. He is also the South African National Projects Coordinator for the Eureka Network. His role is mainly to coordinate the international investment portfolio of strategic relationships with foreign multinational companies that do business in South Africa. This includes mobilising resources through partnerships with venture capital financing and angel investments. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Director: Strategic Partnerships still within the DSI. His role was to promote and support participation of the South African National System of Innovation stakeholders in European Union programmes of strategic importance to South Africa. He has worked for a number of different institutions in corporate services, banking, United Nations operations management and donor funding, international relations, and project and programme management. He has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Management
