Head: Research and Innovation | Nafasi Water Technologies

Dr Rendani Mamphiswana is an innovation expert and policy scholar. He has diverse professional experience in chemicals, energy, water, non-profit, public policy, and academia. He is Head of Research and Innovation at Nafasi Water Technologies (Pty) Ltd in South Africa, where he leads commercialisation of technological and business innovation. He is also affiliated as a Senior Research Associate with the DSI/NRF South African Research Chair Initiative in Industrial Development at the University of Johannesburg. He researches on innovation and industrial policy in the Global South, and is an active voice on using innovation as a lens to grow the South African economy. He is a board member of The Innovation Hub (a subsidiary of the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency) and a TEDx speaker. He has a PhD in Innovation Policy and Management from the University of Johannesburg.
