Ms Malebo MS Mabitje-Thompson is the Acting Director-General in the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition of South Africa. This role entails overseeing implementation of South Africa’s industrial development initiatives. As Deputy Director-General of Industrial Financing branch, she oversees funding programmes for industrial infrastructure development, firm level competitiveness enhancement, export promotion, innovation and industrial skills development. She also manages partnerships with investors, industry associations, organised labour, other government departments and spheres of government, academic institutions, commercial banks and development finance institutions.
