Anthony Kamau is a PhD student at the University of Nairobi specialising in global business. A financial practitioner, he has been in the corporate world for more than 10 years, during which he has held various management positions in the motor industry. He is currently serving as a director in trade, tourism, Industrialisation and co-operatives under the Devolved Government structure in Kenya where he is involved in policy formulation and implementation. His key interests are cross-border trade, industrialisation, fintech, trade finance, Africa’s economic journey and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). He has attended and presented at various conferences, the most recent one being the African Research Universities Alliance 5th Biennial International Conference held in Makerere University in Kampala Uganda where his presentation was on “Accelerating digitalisation and technological innovation as keys to boosting economic growth in Africa”.
