Development Economist and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics at the University of Makeni

Charles Turay is development economist and senior lecturer at the Department of Economics at the University of Makeni. He has a Master of Science Degree in Development Economics from Martyrs University in Kampala, Uganda, a Magistral Degree in International Business Economics and Development from the University of Parma Italy. He was awarded a UNIBO 1 Fellowship programme at the University of Bologna Italy where he obtained an Advance Master’s Degree in Resource Economics and Sustainable Development. He was also an EU Erasmus + exchange student at the School of Management Technical, University of Munich Germany. Charles is PhD Candidate Management and Innovation at the University of Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy.  He supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. His research interest includes development economics, macroeconomic policy, industrial policies, natural resources governance, international trade and climate change and sustainability.
