With experience spanning over 15 years in the finance and banking industry, my current role as a Senior Regional & Sector Specialist at Absa Group allows me to apply my expertise in providing strategic and risk management solutions to clients in the manufacturing, renewables, transport, and logistics sectors. Alongside my professional accomplishments, I hold a Master of Business Administration degree from GIBS Business School, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship and marketing strategy. Additionally, I have successfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management and a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of South Africa. Having worked in various capacities such as Credit Analyst, Credit Risk Specialist, and Group Credit Risk Analyst at esteemed institutions including Absa Group, The Land and Agricultural Bank of South Africa, and Nedbank respectively, I possess a strong background in credit analysis, credit risk, and risk governance. Throughout my career, my passion for marketing has remained a constant driving force. I am deeply committed to supporting the growth and fostering innovation within the African economy, particularly in emerging sectors. Out of a pool of approximately 200 applicants, I had the privilege of being selected as one of the 30 individuals to participate in the MBA Entrepreneurial Stream, a specialised research programme recently introduced at GIBS. This programme focuses on developing entrepreneurial skills, including corporate entrepreneurship, through the exploration and validation of business concepts. Driven by my passion for marketing, sector and business development, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), I embarked on the creation of a marketing tool aimed at assisting SMEs in effectively promoting their organizations and accelerating their growth. Drawing inspiration from the power of storytelling in the digital age, I formulated a concept that leveraged this trusted approach. Given my background and expertise in marketing, sector development and risk management coupled with my enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, I provide invaluable contribution.
