Sector Development Specialist at ECSECC

Lusanda Bantwini is employed at the Eastern Cape Socio-Economic Consultative Council (ECSECC) as a Sector Development Specialist, responsible for enhancing closer correlation between sector development initiatives and the labour market. She has participated in a number of international study tours which have translated into practical public-private partnerships. Her experience includes investment promotion, research, development projects, and entrepreneurship development. She has presented her research at conferences, locally and abroad as well as contributing to national and provincial strategy and policy development processes. Lusanda comes from the rural town of Engcobo, Eastern Cape. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Management from Rhodes University, a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Economics also from Rhodes University, and a Master’s Degree in Development Finance from Stellenbosch University. She is currently embarking on a PhD.
