Programme Implementation Specialist for Export Development at SEDA

Liya Cherian is the Programme Implementation Specialist for Export Development at SEDA (Small Enterprise Development Agency), where she plays a pivotal role in managing and delivering Seda's Export Development Programme and the SheTrades Programme, a flagship initiative of the International Trade Centre, focused on empowering women entrepreneurs in South Africa. With 18 years’ experience in the small business development sector, Liya has honed her expertise in training and capacity building, with a particular focus on enabling SMMEs to thrive in both domestic and international markets. Liya holds an undergraduate degree in Public Relations, an Honor’s Degree in Integrated Organisational Communication, and has recently completed her MPhil in Business Management, specialising in International Business.
