Senior Lecturer at the University of Namibia

Canicio Dzingirai is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Namibia, Economics Department, Faculty of Commerce, Management and Law. He has more than 17 years’ experience as a  researcher, economist, consultant, trade, banking and finance specialist, development practitioner and strategist. He has consulted for many regional and international organisations including the United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Commonwealth Local Government Forum and Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa. Dr Dzingirai holds a PhD, Masters, and Bachelor (Hons) in Economics as well as an MSc in Banking and Financial Services. He also holds various certificates from international training institutes such as the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the Institute for New Economic Thinking’s Young Scholars Initiative.
