Director of the Centre for Emerging Researchers (CER)
Muimeleli Ivan Mutangwa is studying towards a DPhil in Digital Transformation at the University of Joburg’s Business School, where he is also a director of the Centre for Emerging Researchers (CER). He is a business process engineer specializing in organizational design and operational excellence. He has worked with more than 400 For-Profit Companies and Non-Profit Organisations, from those in pre-revenue stage to those with annual revenue of over R8 billion. He has been involved in projects in various sectors, including education, health, agriculture, innovation and small business development. He has also served as a non-executive director at Joburg Fresh Produce Market. Muimeleli holds a BSc (Honors) in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Sustainable Process Engineering from The University of Witswatersrand. During his MSc, he developed a mathematical optimization model and won the best research award at the 4th International Conference on Sustainable Chemical Product and Process Engineering held in Nanjing, China.
