Research & Information and Acting Head: Industry Planning, IDC

Pamela Mondliwa is the Head of Research & Information and Acting Head of Industry Planning at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), with expertise in industrial development, economic regulation, and competition policy. She has held key roles in government, academia, and consultancy, including as a Special Advisor at the Ministry of Finance, Senior Managing Consultant at BRG, and Senior Researcher at the Centre for Competition, Regulation and Economic Development (University of Johannesburg). She has published widely on industrial development and economic regulation including co-editing the volume Structural Transformation in South Africa: The Challenges of Inclusive Industrial Development in a Middle-Income Country.
