Deputy Director, DTIC
Anele Z. Sigcau is a Deputy Director: Infrastructure Investment Funding in the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic). His work experience spans 19 years in the civil service. Anele began his career with the South African National Treasury where he worked in the Budget Office Division. He later joined Statistics South Africa in the Stakeholder Relations and Marketing Division. In 2013, he joined the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition where he has held various positions in the Industrial Financing Branch, including his current position.
Anele is also a budding academic with an interest in contributing to finding solutions to the economic problems of South Africa in particular and Africa in general. This is informed by his belief that resolving these problems will lay a solid foundation for the African continent to develop and ultimately prosper. He holds four qualifications including a Masters Business Administration (MBA) and a Degree in Marketing. He also holds certificates in International Trade and Political Economy from the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs within Unisa. Anele is currently working on a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Finance with the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
