Mpho Nhlabathi is a seasoned Corporate Affairs and Social Impact practitioner with a career of more than 20 years and experience gained working in various roles across Telecoms, Sports, Consulting and Financial Services.
She is passionate about Africa, Women and Young people. She is a socio economic activist passionate about inclusive growth, development of solutions and initiatives that enable it and establishment of individual and institutional relationships for creation of mutually beneficial outcomes.
She serves as a member of the G20 Empowerment of Women Working Group (EWWG) with a focus on the 2nd priority of the Working Group, Financial Inclusion. Delegated by Absa.
She recently received an African Business and Trade Advocacy Award, recognition by Young Women of Africa for her role in delivery of programmes that drive development of women entrepreneurs and acceleration of their inclusion to the financial ecosystem.
She has worked on Group/executive level, multi stakeholder and disciplinary projects such as the milestone Managed Separation at Old Mutual as well as reshaped their World Economic Forum (WEF) relationship to ensure extraction of maximum value from the membership.
Mpho holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) qualification, majoring in Strategy and Economics and her thesis evaluated “the barriers of trade for small businesses in South Africa and their readiness to participate and benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)”.
