Senior Economist, TIPS

Nokwanda Maseko is a Senior Economist at TIPS. Her work at TIPS is at the intersection of industrial policy, gender and the just transition. Her publications include a working paper for the Presidential Climate Commission on unemployment and sustainable livelihoods; a working paper for the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition on localisation; and a TIPS policy brief on gender and the just transition. Before joining TIPS, she worked as a Budget Analyst at the National Treasury and Assistant Director at the Economic Development Department, focused on industrial policy.
