Senior Programme Manager: Executive Education Programme, Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance, UCT

Penny Parenzee is the Senior Programme Manager at the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance at the University of Cape Town. She has a background in law and social policy and has been involved in monitoring the implementation of various pieces of legislation and examining policy processes related to land, violence against women, and sexual and reproductive health and rights in South Africa, the Southern African Development Community and East Africa. She has managed European Union-funded programmes, conducted research, led and tracked monitoring and expenditure initiatives, as well as provided technical support to institutions seeking to strengthen their research and training efforts. Penny is a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. Over a two-year period, she completed two Master’s programmes at Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia, US. She holds a Master’s degree in Law and Social Policy and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. She has a PhD in Development Policy and Practice from the University of Cape Town.
