Chairperson, ICOYACA
Emolot Allan David is the Chairperson of the Independent Continental Youth Advisory Council on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), where he plays a pivotal role in facilitating youth participation in the implementation processes of the AfCFTA. He believes that intra-African trade equals peace and security in Africa. He gained extensive professional experience through his involvement with organisations such as the African Union Youth Envoy Office, World Vision International, MSTCDC/Youlead Africa, and the Human Rights and Peace Centre at the School of Law, Makerere University, among others. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with an award as one of the top 100 most influential people of African descent supporting the United Nations International Decade of African Descent (2015-2024) in 2022. He has a Master’s in Local Governance and Human Rights and is pursuing a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies at Makerere University. Emolot’s dedication to youth economic empowerment, governance, peace and security, Africa’s industralisation agenda and human rights establishes him as a leader and advocate in his field.
