Data Research Analyst, Africa International Trade and Commerce Research
Dr Odumu Moses Ojonugwa is an economist and multidisciplinary research professional with more than a decade of expertise spanning economic analysis, project management, logistics coordination, and human capital development. He has a PhD in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and holds Master’s degrees in Development Economics (University of Lagos) and Monetary Economics (University of Nigeria), and a BSc in Economics (Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria). He has advanced training in data science, monitoring and evaluation, and policy-oriented research. His scholarly work includes peer-reviewed publications on fiscal sustainability, financial inclusion, and intra-African trade integration. As Lead Data Analyst on several projects, including Nigeria’s National Digital Trade Strategy and export readiness under AfCFTA, he has provided evidence-based policy recommendations to governments, international development agencies, and think tanks. His technical proficiency encompasses econometric modelling, qualitative and quantitative research design, and data visualisation tools such as Stata, EViews, Power BI, and NVivo. He is a member of the Nigerian Economic Society and an active contributor to pan-African policy dialogues on trade, education, and economic development.
