Charles Turay is a Development Economist. He has a Bachelor of Science (BSc Education) from N’Jala University of Sierra Leone and a MSc in Development Economics from Uganda Martyrs University. He also has a Magistral Degree (International Business Economics and Development) from the University of Parma, Italy.
He was awarded the UNIBO 1 Fellowship at the University of Bologna and obtained an Advanced Master’s Degree in Resource Economics and Sustainable Development. He was an Ex-Erasmus exchange student at the Technical University of Munich, Germany and the former Head of Department Economics and Program Director for Good Governance and Human Rights project funded by Trocaire and Osiwa at the University of Makeni. He is Africa Programme on Rethinking Development Economics (APORDE) alumni. He is a final year PhD candidate in Management and Innovation at the University of Sacred Heart, Milano. His research interests are land governance, the circular economy, green industrialisation innovation, energy transition, industrial policy, and climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies.
