Director/Lecture, Pan African Institute for Evidence

Dr Thakaramahlaha Lehohla works at the Pan African Institute for Evidence as a management consultant. Other part-time positions include roles at four academic institutions: Tshwane University of Technology, Regenesys Business School, Nelson Mandela University, Cranefield College of Project Management, IMM Graduate School, and UNISA, serving as a supervisor and external for Master’s and PHd students, a moderator, and an integrated learning coordinator. He was previously employed at Wits University as a Senior Lecturer, Competence Research Lead under the Wits Mining Institute.

His 15-year career has covered project, programme and operations management in the space of economic and industrial development in both the private and public sectors. This has involved project management monitoring and control of incentive programmes under the Industrial Policy Action Plan, incentivising the manufacturing and critical infrastructure sectors. Prior to this he was engaged in the incentivisation of arts, culture, national heritage and environmental projects. His initial job entailed building a family business in the tourism and hospitality industry.
He has a PHd in operations and quality management, focused on the role of project, programme and operations management, in ensuring sustainable industrial development in South Africa. This built on a Master’s Dissertation that reflected on the importance of applying project and programme management principles to industrial development programmes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
